Fishing Report, AUGUST 9, 2022

The South West Power Administration, SWPA has been running a consistent generation schedule for the last month. Usually starting at 2 pm and running till 7 pm with two units of generation. The weekend generation schedule has been about the same with some reduced

flows on Sunday. I’d expect the same generation schedule to continue as long as the temperatures remain the same. With that said the current schedule has opened up the entire river for Wade fishing.

Try fishing the deep holes and oxygenated riffles and along the moss beds. The best bite has been early mornings before it gets hot. Fishing the falling water from the boat has been good. Pheasant tails and Guide Choice Hares ear and Midges fished underneath an indicator have been producing. The streamer bite has been good while fishing the falling water from the boat.

Small streamer patterns have been fishing good while using sink tip and Intermediate sink lines. Danielle Bernard, from Memphis TN. Caught this nice Brown Trout while fly fishing a Pheasant tail nymph. On a Hot Day, Around Dripping Springs access point on the Little Red River.
