FISHING ON THE
LITTLE RED
The Little Red River offers almost 30 miles of trout habitat starting at Greers Ferry Dam in Heber Springs, Arkansas and ending in Pangburn, Arkansas. When fishing for brown trout in the Little Red River, it is common to catch 5 to 10 pound trout, and a 20 to 30 pound trout is always possible. Brown trout spawning begins in Mid-October, and ends in November. Rainbow trout are stocked by the Greers Ferry National Fish Hatchery, located below the dam, and provide most of the rivers fish population.
